Make a Stylish Bookwrap
Greta Fitchett

Raw edge applique is used to create a book wrap suitable for an A5 notebook.
A calico base has layers of dyed fabric and lace appliqued by machine to create a
textured surface, with more decoration added with machine patterns and couching.
After machine quilting and some hand big stitch quilting, the edges are finished with a
simple zig zag stitch. Machine made cords make a tie fastener and bookmark.

All materials except the book will be provided, you will need to bring £5.00 on the day
for these, plus your own A5 book.

Suitable for intermediate level.

Colour Tone & Atmosphere Paper Cut Designs
Michael Fitchett

Capturing a scene in light and shade from your tutor’s photos of Venice, you will see
how colour and shapes can become a quilt design in vintage poster style. Easy to
follow stages, a little artistic license and a lot of fun cutting out will result in a design that
you can take home to create your own 12 x 16 inch quilt that evokes the atmosphere of
the Grand Canal in morning sunlight.

You will need to bring £5.00 on the day for your pack of materials.

Suitable for intermediate level.
